Joe Corbett

Joe Corbett

Petroleum Engineer

Joe Corbett is a Petroleum Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He specializes in project management from well design and construction through to completion, production, and ultimately P&A responsibility.

He does engineering services and wellsite supervision throughout the Rocky Mountains, specializing in conventional well completions, production, and workovers in the Powder River Basin. Joe can also get your drilling project off the ground from conception to completion, or help out with simple tasks like writing procedures, AFE’s, or sundry notices.

In addition to Wyoming Energy Consultants, the Corbett’s own an operating company called Chipcore, LLC with 55 plus oil and gas wells in the Powder River Basin. We have a great network of consultants, service providers, and vendors to help us get the job done.

Prior to founding Chipcore and Wyoming Energy Consultants, Joe was employed by Schlumberger for 22 years. While at Schlumberger, he held various positions including Field Engineer, Senior Sales Engineer, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager, and Oilfield Services Sales Coordinator focusing on the Northern Rockies. There he gained technical expertise in log analysis, pressure transient analysis, cementing operations, and artificial lift.

Joe has a B.S. in Geological Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. He is a 25 year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Besides working in the oilfield, Joe is active volunteering at Highland Park Community Church and spearheading the Casper Chase Memorial 5K raising funds for scholarships in the name of our Fallen Soldiers from Wyoming. Check out https://casperchase5k.org/

Cameron Corbett serves as a Managing Member for Wyoming Energy Consultants.

Cameron adds over ten years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His focus has been on representing oil and gas exploration and production companies, both large and small, to acquire, develop and divest assets in the Rocky Mountain Region through mineral title research, lease acquisition, surface access agreements, federal unitization and many other services necessary for his clients to succeed.

Cameron holds the Certified Professional Landman (CPL) designation through the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado Christian University, an MBA in Energy Management from the University of Mary and a Certificate of Professional Land Management from the University of Houston-Downtown.

Cameron is active in both the Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen (President, 2019-2020) and American Association of Professional Landmen (Director, 2020-2022). In his spare time, Cameron loves to spend time with his wife and two kids. He also loves Jesus, golf and CrossFit.

Laura Chipperfield

Production Accounting & Reporting

Laura has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming and has been an oil and gas accounting and reporting specialist for 24 years. She uses the Wolfepak accounting system for monthly processes including joint interest billing, revenue distribution and financial reporting. She also hasextensive experience with monthly and annual regulatory and production reporting for the WOGCC, State and Federal agencies.

Laura is also well versed in Wyoming Oil & Gas Conservation Commission APD permitting.

Some of her current clients include South Pass Petroleum, E&B Natural Resources, Pajaro Energy, Hadley Jackson Energy and Chipcore, LLC.

Andrew Brus

Production Manager

Andrew has over 10 years of documented, hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked hard to develop a diverse background with practical field experience on the drilling, completion, production and regulatory sides of the oil and gas industry. Joining Chipcore and WEC in 2022, Andrew currently manages production for Chipcore and offers a variety of consulting services through WEC. He offers production management and review, well-site consulting for drilling, workover and completions, AFE's, and can assist or lead with almost any regulatory filing needed.

Andrew started in oil and gas on the drilling side as an MWD Field Engineer before becoming a Directional Driller. His experience ranges throughout the Rockies and West Texas in operations of all sizes. In 2019, wanting to be home more with his family, he took a role as a Production Operator in the Salt Creek CO2 Flood before stepping into a regulatory role. Andrew was responsible for leading projects from APD to Final Abandonment. Through these experiences he learned how to permit, drill, complete, operate, reclaim and abandon wells.

Andrew has a B.S. in Technical Education from the University of Wyoming.

Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, hunting, fishing and volunteering. He has driven for Meals on Wheels, and was recently appointed to the board for the Two Fly Foundation.

Carmen Goodman

Carmen Goodman

Environmental Coordinator

Carmen is a certified Professional Civil Engineer and has 17 years experience in the industry.

She performs all aspects of Federal and State APD oil and gas permitting all around Wyoming including horizontal well applications and well exception location applications. She has been involved in all facets of permitting, implementation, and monitoring of water discharge operations in Wyoming.

She has established working relationships with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (WOGCC), and the State Engineer’s Office (SEO) in Wyoming.

Her professional license enables her to prepare bonding documents for reservoirs as well as other documents that require a Professional Engineer’s certification.

Carmen has also been involved in several Phase One Environmental Assessments. She prepares Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC) required by the EPA for oil and gas operations.
